In creation's waters we form, emerge, and begin our journey. Throughout our lives, we return again and again to water in its many forms—for sustenance, renewal, ritual, comfort, and play.
Because of our watery origins, and the fact that we ourselves are mostly water, bathing remains one of the oldest and most powerful ways humans restore relationship with body, nature, and the source of life itself.
At Born Bathing, we believe one of the deepest wounds of modern life is separation—from ourselves, one another, nature, and the living world. Bathing is one of the simplest ways to restore a sense of communion with yourself, each other and nature.

I grew up in the Pacific Northwest in a home rooted in plants, holistic living and natural medicine. That early inheritance became more than thirty years of study and practice in Eastern and Western herbalism, natural perfumery, astrology and spagyric alchemy.
Born Bathing is where those living disciplines meet. I formulate each product as both body care and a tool for Ritual Bathing, using whole-plant extracts and pure botanical aromatics to care for the body, awaken the senses and deepen our relationship with the living world.

To super-natural, clean, mindful, artful and sustainable creations. All of our products are biodegradable and formulated with vegetable and plant-based surfactants. These ultra-gentle cleansing agents are kind to both your skin, mind and planet.

To adding any toxic ingredients. You won’t find synthetic fragrances, dyes, parabens, phthalates, PEGs, ethanolamines, BHT, BHA, nitro musks, polycyclic musks, SLS, and silicones in our products. And because we love animals as much as we love you and our planet, all of our products are cruelty-free and never tested on animals.

Recycle and Compost us
We chose reusable brushed aluminum and ultraviolet glass bottles to preserve life force and reduce single-use plastic waste. Aluminum is the most recycled element on the planet and can be recycled infinitely without reducing its quality. Our shipping boxes and fill are made from 100% recycled, recyclable biodegradable paper printed with black algae ink.

We love Mother Earth
Our products are proudly made in the USA, at a plant owned and operated by powerful women, that relies primarily on solar power and uses wind power credits to offset energy usage. We’ve developed manufacturing processes that use minimal water to reduce our environmental footprint.

Since 2010, we have been focused on making the best natural, chemical-free botanical self-care products available, all while removing plastic waste from our oceans. Fifteen years ago, convincing hotels to use refillable containers was a groundbreaking effort. Big change can take time, but after a decade, refillable amenities became the industry norm. We have been on the leading edge the earth-first movement from the day we began.
